Here are some tips to help you navigate Musarama and use its functionalities.
From the Images page, you can browse through all the photos by clicking on the page number, Back or Next. You can also browse through the photos related to a given topic in the Browse by topic menu on the left. Click on View all images in the bottom left menu to see all the photos in the image bank.
Click on Advanced search to search using keywords and other criteria.
To search within the search results, click on Advanced search again to add to the original search criteria.
If you want to change your search criteria, click on Reset to clear the fields.
To go back to browsing mode from the results of a search, click on one of the topics in Browse by topic or View all images.
To download a photo, click on Add to my selection. Go to My selection in the horizontal menu to review your collection before downloading it.
If you are a registered user, you can also save your selection of photos into a personal folder. If you would like to become a registered user, sign up here.
The name of the photographer is on the photo. Moreover, all images contain metadata, such as caption and other information on where and when the photo was taken. These data are readable by almost all image manipulation programmes. By embedding the data in the files, we hope users will find it easier to make use of the images and their associated information. It should also be easier to give credit where credit is due.
The photos are for non-commercial use only and must be attributed. They cannot be used for commercial purpose unless permission has been obtained. Contact the image bank manager for more information.
We welcome feedback on the accuracy of the information provided with each image and on suggestions for improvements, such as topics on which you would like to see photos.
