Popoulu banana
Caption: Popoulu bananas are indigenous to the Pacific region. They are believed to have been domesticated in the New Guinea area, from where they were introduced to many Pacific islands by Polynesian settlers. They are often grouped with Maoli bananas in the Maoli-Popoulu subgroup.
