Mottled inflorescence of a banana plant infected with the Banana bunchy top virus (BBTV) at a late stage of developement (banana plants that are infected when they are young do not usually flower). The mottling pattern is formed by the veins of the bracts displaying the discontinuous streaks that resemble the 'morse code' symptom on petioles and leaves.
