Nymph of Segestes decoratus, a defoliator insect of the family Tettigoniidae, known as katydids in American English or bush-crickets in British English. In Papua New Guinea, the local name of this pest is sexava. These insects are better known for destructive outbreaks on oil palms. They probably jumped to bananas after building up on the palms.
