Wilting cooking bananas growing near dead or dying coconut trees in Furan, in the Madang Province of Papua New Guinea. The coconut trees are infected with the phytoplasma that is at the origin of an epidemic locally known as 'Bogia Coconut Syndrome'. A phytoplasma was later found in the sick bananas and tentatively named Banana wilt associated phytoplasma (BWAP).
